The dust at my job is so bad ... |
|
The dust at my job is so bad that it set off a fire alarm the other day . If its that bad I could imagine what I am breathing in . There has to be someone place to come in and clean the dust or something .
Don't mind me , I am just doing some late night posting .

My husband works at a coal-powered power plant; he breathes in coal dust all day long - and constantly suffers from sinus problems. He's even had sinus surgery (soooo painful!) - but his suffering continues. Scares the hell out of me because I know this is shortening his life. What are you breathing in my dear girl?

I work at a distribution center (warehouse) and there are conveyor belts all over the place . Where the dust comes from , I honestly have no idea . No matter how much we have the workers clean up , there is always dust . I am thinking that maybe they ( the Fortune 500 company that I work for ) can hire a cleaning company to clean the entire warehouse - but I know thats not going to happen because we are using old computers that were made in 1980 ( the year I was born ) to use the system . But still , the air quality in there has to be bad if it set off a smoke detector .

There is always dust where I work. In the packaging area, it comes from card board. It is a food processing plant and there is clean up every night. Every day the dust returns. There is also dust from some of our ingredients. The smoke detector is not set off by it but a few employees say they have problems with it. As for me, I sneeze every day at work even if I didn't sneeze at all while I was at home. I have brought the situation up at the safety committee. The chair and human resources person said that our company does not have to worry about air quality testing when I suggested that. I think that most people there would hate it if they had to wear masks to work in so I don't know if I should persue it further.

I did'nt think of that . And you're right , I don't want to wear masks either . All of the merchandise is in cardboard and the shipping containers are cardboard .
