1. I don't, but I'm also considering it for a new bed. |
|
Around $600 from what I saw.

what size was it? All I've seen is the queen-size(?) for near $1000.
I have the pillow. I like it.

We love it, although , I must say, it took a couple of nights to get used to it.
The one drawback that I see: sleeping in hotels is now more uncomfortable than ever !

3. I bought a genuine tempurpedic topper last night. |
|
Replaced the crap undersized one I bought.
Will install it tonight.
The bugger is heavy... but I've heard only GOOD things.
Until now I've been using $10 knock-off egg-carton foam things; they were good on the back, but this tempurpedic foam thing is really wowzers to the touch. Very nice and squeezy. :D

I love it. I am not alone, my guy spent the night over last week and has been looking all over the internet to find one in his price range. I swear its the most comfortable bed I have ever slept in.

8. It does trap heat ... the closed cells are great insulators |
|
But cotton sheets on top do a great job and I wake up comfy every morning - never could say that with coil springs.

9. There are cheaper alternatives |
|
Look for high density foam ... I used an authentic tempurpedic topper and pillows for a couple of years before replacing the mattress & box spring w/four inches of no-name brand. The only thing that's better is top quality down, which by the way, is just as heat retaining.
I've got horrible scars that made finding a comfortable position a nightmare - great relief since going all polyurethane.
Be prepared to vent your bedroom when the mattress arrives ... but the fumes dissipate completely and you're left with unbelievable luxury.
And it lasts and lasts ... eventually, I turned the topper into a pair of body pillows and a seat cover - it's over ten years old and no sign of decomposition. Keep 'em out of direct sunlight and I think they'll last forever.
