2. As a Yankee fan, great move!
A pitcher who questions Yankee karma, choked (and got saved) in the biggest game of his life against the Yankees, has a 4.93 lifetime ERA versus the Yankees, and is a fly ball pitcher pitching in Fenway.

Well done! :D

3. Good ribbing! But....
I remember him beating you guys in game 1. Then being lined up for a win in game 4 before Kim struck. Then in game 7 pitching another solid game. I also remember you guys being after him.

4. And I remember
A young 2B who is a free swinger grooving one 400 feet.

If not for Gonzo, that is his legacy.

And thats the point.

Game 1 is nice...so is Game 4.

But you're talkin about winnin it for the RED SOX...you need GAME 7.

And Curt Schilling is not a Game 7 pressure pitcher...not in Fenway.

And I'm damn glad the Yankees didn't get him...u see the extortion Collangelo wanted due to his petty squabble over Wells after 2001 (shoulda given him to them, I say now!). Now we get Vazquez, and if the Sox can't put it together this year, it'll be the Yankees with the youth, and the Red Sox wondering why the Yankees can use win now effectively and not the Sox (hint: don't overpay guys who are past their prime...role players...the little things...the things the opponent won't expect)
