My son, aka Destructo, won't let me put the train tracks together! |
|
We have these awesome wooden train tracks with bridges and switchers and all kinds of cool stuff. Every time just as I'm about to fit them together so I can put the train on them (with cool aquarium cars!), Destructo tears them all apart!
I know the idea is for me to be spending time paying with my son. But it's so hard not to tell him "No" and give him something else to play with. I want to the perfect little train to ride on the perfect little tracks!
:wah:
He won't let me build the little block town either. He's like Godzilla!
Anyway, he's tearing everything apart right now, bless 'im.

4. Opposition is a way of expressing range. |
|
Unfortunately, it also expresses opposition. With your expectations, rb, you're setting yourself up for agita. If he's a toddler, give him a bucket and a bag of clothespins and he'll play dump and spill all day. :pals:

6. So play with the train when he's asleep! |
|
:D
Let him play godzilla now and then you can have your turn when he's napping or down for the night. :silly:

Of course I would never get in the way of him playing Godzilla. It's just that I want to play!

7. We have some nailed to the train table (painted plywood board) |
|
and then some track that is loose that our boys can put together or pull apart. My older son likes to drive the trains on the tracks, but the twins like to pull the track apart. We had to have a little of both to make everyone happy :-)

11. He's actually 16 months. |
|
He's too young for the trains, but my mom sent them for christmas, and I love them.
