I have been feeling pretty down lately, especially after spending some time over on the General Politics board. I have found politics generally depressing lately. I don't normally come over to the Lounge, but I did today and have spent the afternoon laughing my ass off.

So, just thanks to all the funny, smart people here. You helped me kill a rainy afternoon in a fun way.

2. When I first found the lounge, I couldn't believe some of these

folks weren't professional comedians. There are some incredibly funny people here in the lounge and really nice people as well.

I have modded in the lounge now for about a year, and I have to say, even though I have never met anyone IRL, I feel as though I 'know' some folks and am looking forward to really meeting them.

It is a nice place. And, some of the shit posted here is absolutely hysterical.

Seriously for a minute here...I am really getting worried about the weather pattern we have had for the past few years. It is almost like we are having rainy seasons and dry seasons, which is NOT the way the weather traditionally works here in the southeast. For half the year it rains like hell, the other half everything dries up to dust.
