1. Well, I can certainly understand that.
No one who disagrees with me should be allowed to post on the internets.:silly:

2. I disagree with this opinion
People who disagree with me on the internets should NOT be picked up by the police but by the FBI and anyone who thinks otherwise is liable to have the Feds (and not K-Fed but the real Feds) at their door pronto.

5. I disagree with your opinion
Everyone should be allowed to post whatever they want on the internets, as long as it violates neither the Constitution nor criminal statutes.

I now call on the mods to remove your post. :P

9. I don't even know who 'K-Fed' is
I think it's tabloid-speak for Kevin Federline or somebody, but I have no idea whom he is.

And I thought evil and diabolical laughter went "Muahahahahahahahaaa!"

"Bwahahahahaha" makes me think of Arnold from "Happy Days."

16. Doing well, m'dear, especially after reading your post.
You sure know how to warm an old guy's heart, don't you?

How's every little thing down there? Any progress in getting out of the trailer and back into a house? I sure hope there's some for you particularly, and the other folks in general.

18. Old guy, my foot.
Things here are about the same, but I am working on some possibilities and am very optimistic. Sadly, other folks are still in tents and are still hoping to get a FEMA trailer, so I know that I am doing better than alot of others.

I have rested this weekend and that rest has done wonders for me. I even stayed at a friend's house this weekend and was able to feel human again. (Doing laundry in a leisurely manner, taking a bubble bath in a real tub, walking from room to room -- the little pleasures most folks take for granted.)

I'm doing better than a lot of other folks and I have hope, so things are good.

Keep those positive energies and encouragement coming my way, they really do help.

21. I'll let you in on a little secret, if you promise not to tell anyone.
(I may not look it, but I'm in my fifties.) (Oh, shit, they can all read that, can't they? Oops.)

Nothing like a tub full of hot water to restore the spirit, is there? The government should provide that for everyone down there, once a week.

Glad to hear it's getting better for you; wish it could be that way for everyone.

We haven't forgotten you guys, even if bushyboy and his crowd have.

24. I still don't get it. I do NOT dye my hair, and have never exactly taken
care of myself, but everyone pegs me for being late 30s.

Maybe it's my lifelong refusal to take life seriously, cut my hair short, or "act my age?" Every week or so, I see a picture in the newspaper or a magazine of someone who's several years younger than me, and am amazed that the guy looks like he could be my uncle. Like Stever Ballmer, the CEO of Microsoft.

25. It's all about how you feel
And what is in your heart. Always childlike, never childish.

I really do believe that folks that take life and themselves too seriously age quicker than they need to.

27. You got that exactly right. Stress will age you faster than almost
anything else.

A long time ago, I gave up worrying and being in a hurry, because:

1) If you worry about something, the outcome of that thing will be exactly that same as if you hadn't worried, except that you've added the stress of worrying.

2) If you're going to be fifteen minutes late, hurrying to make it only thirteen minutes is counterproductive, because you'll arrive stressed-out and flustered in addition to being late.

And I know from reading your posts during your recent trying times, you've learned to try for the best outcome, but not to waste time worrying, because it doesn't help.

Good for you.

17. Now the world don't move to the beat of just one drum.

http://www.sitcomsonline.com/sounds/diffrentstrokes-1.mp3

What might be right for you, may not be right for some.
A man is born, he's a man of means.
Then along come two, they got nothing but their jeans.

But they got, Diff'rent Strokes.
It takes, Diff'rent Strokes.
It takes, Diff'rent Strokes to move the world.

Everybody's got a special kind of story
Everybody finds a way to shine,
It don't matter that you got -- not alot?
So what,
They'll have theirs, and you'll have yours, and I'll have mine.
And together we'll be fine....

Because it takes, Diff'rent Strokes
it takes Diff'rent Strokes
it takes Diff'rent Strokes to move the world.
Yes it does.
It takes, Diff'rent Strokes to move the world.

41. "They flew out of the cloud
They saw the staggering jewels of the night in their infinite dust and their minds sang with fear.
For a while they flew on, motionless against the starry sweep of the Galaxy, itself motionless against the inifinite sweep of the Universe. And then they turned round.
'It'll have to go,' the men of Krikkit said as they headed back for home."

"'It never stops raining!' ranted the lorry driver. He thumped the table, spilled his tea, and actually, for a moment, appeared to be steaming.
You can't just walk around without responding to a remark like that.
'Of course it stops raining,' said Arthur. It was hardly an elegant refutation, but it had to be said."
