About a week ago, I posted here about the Freepers having discovered and then linking to an essay on my site.

I just discovered that the Free Republic thread also links to the original DU thread, above. Now, this is getting rather weird! It's as if DU and FR are alternate versions of each other, we in the real universe and they in Star Trek evil alternate one. (Good analogy, come to think of it. We want to live in a republic, while they prefer an empire! With smirking bastards!)

What if the barrier between the universes breaks down? Will the result be an explosion that will destroy all reality? Or will an unimaginably horrible child result from a union of the two?

I'm frightening myself!

Maybe I should write a short story about this.
