Falwell brought up oral sex today behind his pulpit. Oh yeah, Clinton too
(I had originally posted this under Religion/Theology, and was requested to post this in the lounge so it didn't get booted. I don't know why it would. I mean this is what Falwell was talking about in his Church today.) nuff said.

I watched the sermon this morning and I could not believe what came out of this man's mouth. The closer to elections though he REALLY starts to get mean . . . more to cum  Sorry, I cannot help myself considering this is what the man was talking about during his sermon.

Today they didn't even edit the BS out of his sermon posted on the church site.

Falwell stated that there are new studies that show that oral sex may be causing oral cancer. He claims the Oral Council Foundation (see below) have seen a rise in oral cancer since Clinton started an EPIDEMIC of oral sex.

Then, of course, he felt the best person to represent this cause and calling attention to it and what it might do would be . . . YEP! Of course, I'll have to listen to the sermon again; however, on his church site that has his sermons every week (none of them have his crazy ad libbing that he throws in there MOST of the time) except today on his site it states a "Cliff Kincaid" suggested that ex-president Clinton should assume the role since he started this EPIDEMIC.

Do you think we ought to tell them that oral sex has been around a lot longer than Bill Clinton? Back when I was in high school in the 70's, girls who wanted to be virgins when they got married would perform oral sex on their current boyfriends at that time. They justified it in their own minds that way. Kind of like Falwell with some of the things that come out of his mouth.

I look at it like this, if oral sex is causing more oral cancer, then intercourse is the cause of uterine cancer, ovarian cancer, any cancer a female can get in her reproductive organs. If this is the case, then all sex must be stopped to save the lives of women.

That would mean if we stopped all oral and vaginal sex, that would only leave sodomy. If the only way to have sex would be sodomy, then how would we procreate? Then again, sodomy could be the cause of all the colon cancer. One problem with that though, heterosexual men die of colon cancer. My father-in-law died at the age of 57.

Do you think Falwell would be the spokesperson for sodomy since he is the first to bring up this so-called medical study that claimed oral sex caused cancer? We know women get cancer of their female organs so that must stop to. That would just leave the sodomy. Jerry Falwell, the poster child of Sodomy but the man who cured cancer transmitted sexually. What irony.

<http://sermons.trbc.org/20060129.html >

(snip) Science now tells us that the reduction in smoking among America’s youth had started a downward spiral in youth cancer until recently when an epidemic of oral sex among middle and high school young people has sent it upward again (end snip)

I wonder if it has anything to do with if you swallow or not? (I had to put something down because I cannot frigging believe this man and his mind).

2. Even though I agree that Falwell is fucking ridiculus...
"Then again, sodomy could be the cause of all the colon cancer. One problem with that though, heterosexual men die of colon cancer."

He didn't say it caused ALL oral cancer, so your analogy doesn't quite work.

8. No, he didn't say it caused it all, but what do you think HE believes?
I think he is starting to get a little jealous of his lack of media coverage and all of it going to Robertson. (I know I miss CROSSFIRE big time). I bet Pat Robertson comes out with something about God telling him that if people would quit having oral sex, there would be no more disease.

I'm just surprised Falwell didn't state it caused all of the AID's in the World.

Where in the Bible does it say that oral sex is wrong?? Anyone???

Sorry.

14. Too True and don't be sorry because you are 100% right.
If everyone (including myself) would stop and think about the situations around them cognitively, we all could possibly find a peace in ourselves. Peace of mind would keep us all sane and would possibly bring peace to us all.

When we all learn that we cannot read anyone else's mind, cannot think what others are thinking, and realize no one can predict the future, plus no one is perfect, we may be able to find a little piece of our own Nirvana.

Hmmm. Need to meditate on that one.

15. I thought it was going to be something about Falwell. I had always
heard the rumors of a mistress, also, Babs freaking out on news people even they looked like they were going anywhere near a question regarding this.

I have tried to find out information regarding Falwell and his brother when they first came to Lynchburg and were starting to raise money for their church and college. My mother said something about Fallwell's brother and even Falwell were brought up on charges against this young woman's death.

Anyone else heard of anything similar?

22. I haven't heard of the Falwell rumors.
But what you say wouldn't suprise me one bit if it were true. It's amazing the double standard that exists about sex. I'd love to see the Jenny story out there again.

10. LOL. Too funny. Remember when Oral Roberts stated that if he did
not get one million dollars in donations that the Good Lord was going to take him to his great reward? Then, after a big bunch of controversy, he was taken out of context. The Pat Robertson defense. Wonder if that is where Pat Robertson learned how to back track.

Jesus was so forgiving and this bunch of clowns never forgive anyone for anything. They are above it. Didn't Jimmy Swaggart beg us for our forgiveness with his prostitute. Then there was
Jim Baker and Tammy Faye. Baker went to jail. Tammy Faye married his best friend while he was in jail.

That experience really seemed to humble Jim and Tammy. I don't know about the rest of them????

16. Rev. Falwell always "ministers" to his flock
You've heard all the sheep jokes by now, but Falwell never actually said anything about bestiality. So he must think it's perfectly O.K. for him and others, as long as CLINTON never actually did it.

Back to the topic of his sermon -- I wonder what the 80-90% of his congregation that partakes in this Clinton-inspired oral sex craze must have been thinking?

Edited on Mon Jan-30-06 08:02 AM by frankly_fedup2
no snickering just a hummmmm of people talking amongst themselves.

I'm going to try to upload that part of his sermon to my site. I have never done that before so I really do not know if I will get it done right but I'm sure going to try. It's time people see the unbelievable words coming out of his mouth.

17. Last I heard
The link between oral sex and cancer was because of HPV, human papilloma virus, which is also a major cause of cervical cancer. There is a vaccine almost ready for human use, although the fundies are all up in arms about it. You know, their whole virginity or death thing :eyes: :eyes:

Is far too obsessed with sex and in posession of too few facts. He's a nutcase with a pulpit, nothing more.

23. i think these jerks get together for prayer breakfasts
and receive talking points from KKKarl or 'somebody' about what to propagandize about on the right-wing radio stations and from behind the pulpit. I often hear dr.laura and rash limpboy mention, Clinton and comment about oral sex or disclaiming having had intimacy because it was 'oral'. I believe they are told to push the issue to keep it alive in peoples minds. They are terrified of what an intelligent, well educated, informed, guy, Clinton, is. I truly believe he was provided the opportunities to be in Monica's presence, alone, by someone who was making an effort to prey on his weakness. Just my opinion.
