There is no sleep in sight...somebody talk to me...I can't go to sleep until she does, and she's been attacked by the Evil forces of Snot.

2. She woke up Saturday morning with a sore throat
Been blowing her nose all weekend...Then she came down the hall at 2 AM, saying that she was hot. She was right. This is truly bad timing for her to be sick. I could be called for a second interview tomorrow, and I'll be a zombie.

6. No strep...We've been there and done that
Last year she had strep three times...so I definitely know what to look for. She's got a ton of drainage, which is causing the sore throat. Poor thing, she inherited my sinuses.

8. Thanks
The poor little thing is just miserable. She's either blowing her nose or coughing...can't sleep. I'm hoping the OTC meds will knock this out.

13. Vaporize her!
Steam really helps, especially with one of those croupy coughs. I also rub a little Vicks on his chest. Hope she's better soon!

14. My 5 yr old went throught that the past 2 days.
His was 101.9 with tylenol in his system. What finally worked for him - was a piggy back of tylenol and motrin. He started sweating like a pig, slept for 3 hrs and then woke up with a 98.6 temp. This was going on 2 days and I was getting quite concerned. Said if it didnt drop by Monday hes going to the ped. Hes running around like a lunatic as we speak so hes fine now :)

Now I got the severe snotty nose, my chest is all congested, and I feel like crap.

LUCKY ME!

I hope she gets better soon.. something is making its rounds.

15. Eeeep!
That's got to be uncomfortable for her.

When i was a little one (3 years old) i had a drastic case of tonsillitis. My temperature hit 104! That's too high for health, so the doctor had my mom put me in a cool tub for an hour. Then, i was brought to the hospital. They cooled me down with ice and a saline IV. Two days later they took the tonsils out. No more fevers and sore throats.

I don't remember this vividly. (Too young, i guess.) But, i know the backstory and know that my parents were rattled by such a high temperature.

I expect you're rattled too. Take care.
The Professor
