I got a new job offer! A little less than what I was making, but I would be the lone writer on staff, so this makes me very happy-- no hierarchy, pecking order TEAM bullshit.

I am the ONLY writer. And the health benefits are awesome. Plus, this company gives quarterly bonuses, which we didn't get at the last place. An inspiring bit of workplace incentive.

Not too shabby! I'll be starting next Monday if the background check comes out clean (I got nothing to hide, as the freepers say...).

So although I'm sad about the asshole, I do have a personal silver lining today. :dilemma:

You also get to travel?!?!? That's what you need, I think. You will love it! I've never got to travel for jobs- except once, to Alaska, for Sea Shepherd. One of my favorite authors, Lisa Jewell, says that a hotel is its own country. If it's for like a week, I agree. It's almost like a vacation.
