Nuts.

Nuts are little round food entities wrapped in a protective shell, sometimes with a brittle membrane that needs to be peeled off.

They are not to be confused with these synthetic alternatives, for they are not as wholesome and succulent as the real things:


Of course, you need to get at the tender nuts before you can feed them to your pet. In order to accomplish this, you need a nutcracker:

Now that your nuts are cracked, they might need unpeeling. But that's okay, it's an educational AND fun experience and it helps add to the sensation that follows when you've finally got 'em unwrapped:


Once they're freely exposed to the air, then you can feed them! Here is a helping hand when letting your pet lick your nuts:
