Sorry. Both are damned decent films but Mallrats was simply more entertaining.

Bite me!

4. Dogma
Was the funniest (from the point of view of this recovering Catholic, anyway).

Chasing Amy was the sexiest. Lick me (lol)!

6. I've been a video store clerk and a 24 hr convenience store clerk...
In Northern Jersey.

Clerks appeals to me in ways that Mallrats could never begin to touch.

Better yet...A copy of Dante in Vulgar?

Ha! Just fuckin' wit ya'!

Dude I'm talking about entertaining movies (I will add that I LOVE Clerks, really I do!) not which character/schmuck I most identify with. Not that this isn't a common way to avoid critical thinking. Sort of like the dumbasses that thought that Bush would be a cool guy to lift a few beers with...Because they could relate to him...Hence a silly, rather destructive, idea:-)

Not that prefering Clerks will kill anyone...That'd be just a little nuts...

14. Mallrats went after the easy laughs IMO
yet Clerks can take me back to a place I never again want to be, and laugh at it :D

Mallrats was more a teen movie, granted the boobies shots were a nice addition

7. Sorry. Clerks wins out.
I used to work at a convenience store. I have seen the Milkmaids. Everybody buys cigarettes. My girlfriend really did roger a dead guy in the bathroom. All true.

8. Could Clerks 2 ruin Clerks?
I mean I am excited about it coming out, but I am also worried that it will ruin Clerks for me. Kevin Smith's work hasn't exactly been great lately, and sequels are never great, so there are very few good signs about this movie. Hopefully it will be a glorious return to the Smith we once knew, but somehow I doubt it.

9. Clerks
"my mom has been fucking a dead guy for years, I call him dad"
"I'm not even suppose to be here today"
"But I work at a crappy video store"

I like dogma too. and I am not even catholic.

10. I got more laughs out of Mallrats
I think all the rancor about that film was unjustified. It might not have been as "good" as Clerks, but it's damn funny

13. That's what I'm talking about!
Clerks was probably the "better" movie but Mallrats had more laughs.

Even Jay and Silent Bob seemed more developed (If possible) and funnier.
