I used to see some nice sunsets when i lived in Long Beach, CA back in the day when i was in the navy stationed there. somebody told me it was because all the pollution in the air made for pretty colors!! :shrug: :hi:

Did you know that up to 5% of the mineral soil in Hawaii is quartz that blew there from Asia???

Actually, these days, the wind is onshore.....and let me tell you, it gets cold out there on the end of the Pier.....or anywhere near it!

But it's true that the offshore winds do make for excellent sunsets as well...
