Last night, my arms went numb and lifeless for 15 minutes. Ask me anything
(and, to pre-emptively answer, it's all G-rated.)

1. Did your arms have an after death experience
and try to float away from your body?

4. No. I'll be calling the doc... that's not the only problem either...
zingers in my toes and hands are occasional...

And, last night, I did cry.

and my skin often feels cool and clammy - though the shrink wants to pin that part on anxiety, and while I'm skeptical she's been right on everything else...

3. HT, not something to play around with. That was the first sign of
rheumatoid arthritis for me...It can also signal MS and a host of other neurological troubles. Take care of yourself. I need you around.

6. Well, I still have my injured spinal cord...
They claim it can heal and repair itself, but it takes a VERY long time.

I also read a site where it said that, depending on extent of damage, scar tissue starts to form and that's when the autoimmune system goes to fight it - which in turn increases the damage. Let's just say THAT isn't the cause.

But I'm exercising for 3 weeks now; one would think I'd see some improvement by now - I have noted increased endurance when running, but that's about all so far. And a bit less tingling in my right arm, so there is hope... I hope!

9. My first sign of pd was a tremor in my knee.
I was working and I fell with a roll of printer people. After that my legs were freezing for days on end.

8. Dunno. Haven't seen it in years... not a fan of mainstream TV...
In seriousness, I couldn't move them; they felt like two lumpy spongey logs.

They're still a bit cool to the touch right now.

12. Nope. I stayed out of GD...
And it had nothing to do with making lots of FOX-comedy-worthy posts last night either. Well, not quite FOX-worthy; mine are still tasteful by comparison... :D

13. I woke up once with my entire body paralyzed...was very scary
didn't go to the doctors though, just figured it went asleep, a few minutes later my whole body had pins and needles, wasn't fun.

16. A little better since moving about.
Am ramping up upper-arm exercises; namely trapezoids and biceps.

I think it's muscles impinging nerves.

and if I'm wrong, it won't matter for much longer anyway. :D

is pretty classic.

17. Thx for the name, I looked it up... I don't think it fully fits:
Only happens in certain positions; I'm certain I pinched a nerve and my muscles are very tight. I think exercising will help them.

And not overusing the computer.

18. You're absolutely correct... and chiropractic will help a lot as well.
Glad to hear you've not got the full range, it sucks big time.

If you can find a chiro that does the "Activator" method instead of tortion, it's far, far more gentle on our abused little bodies.

The relief is amazing.

19. That happened to me last summer.
We discovered it was MS. I hope you are OK, HT. Please see a neurologist if you haven't yet.
