Has anyone ever had one of those nights ...
Edited on Tue Jan-31-06 10:05 AM by Akoto
Where you couldn't fall asleep until really late, for no good reason at all? Last night, I was not (that I recall) worried or stressed. I'd been having issues lately, but they're really behind me now. However, I just couldn't get my body to go into sleep mode until somewhere around 4am! Normally, I have no troubles getting to sleep, so it was just quite odd to me.

Fortunately, I didn't have to work today, so at least I was able to stay in bed long enough to get around five hours. May not be healthy - I sure don't feel at my greatest - but I suppose one night of it won't kill me. :)

I've suffered from insomnia for almost twenty years. 2 or 3 times a year I go for a week to a week and a half where I simply cannot sleep. Antihistamines sometimes help.

edit - I hit post when I ment to hit check spelling... DOH!

2. I work nights so I have to sleep days...what a joke that is
but even when I worked days I had trouble sleeping nights...finally found a doc who listened to the stressors I have in my life and with the right combination of meds I have managed to stay somewhat socially acceptable...

3. I'm sorry to hear you had such troubles.
It must've stunk to have slept so badly that you needed a combo of meds!

I suppose, however, that I shouldn't be rushing to the doctor after one night of bad sleep. :)

5. Indeed!
I hope that's what I get as well.

I've had mental disorders (under treatment) which cause me to panic over my health, when what few issues I have are really no big deal. I suppose five hours of sleep would make anyone feel lame, myself included. :P

6. you poor dear (learned that one from CalPeg I did)
but just so you know how truly blessed you are...if I get 4 hours with medication I consider myself lucky...high energy that's me...sleep is highly over-rated and anyway I figure I'll get all the sleep I need when I'm dead

actually I am afraid I'll miss something...
