4. I'm really looking for a nice comfortable pair of western boots.
Ariat makes them with rubber soles. So before I drive 20 miles to the nearly store that carries Ariat, I thought I'd ask around.

Thanks!

7. mine are rubber soles also
if they make all of their soles the same way, then I would say go try them. They are worth it. They are the most comfortable boots I have ever owned.

8. Yes: 2 pairs of Performer II paddock boots and tall field boots.
Best riding boots I've ever owned. I need a new pair of paddock boots. I may order the Crownw or the Performer III.

Try Dover Saddlery (online) for great prices.

13. For boots?
I think I'd be afraid to. What about proper fit?

Perhaps a trip to Alcala's is on the horizon.

14. I don't think they carry that brand
I can stop by and ask, if you like. I'm mere minutes from their store.

15. 4 pairs
Everyone in my family owns a pair. We buy custom tall boots but our paddock boots are all Ariats.

They fit from the very first day, we never had blisters.

They are workhorses. We abuse them, daily. Even with muddy paddocks, bathing horses, and very little TLC, we usually get at least a year out of every pair. My husband rides at least 5 horses daily and wears his boots at least 18 hours/day, and even he gets at least a year out of his Ariats.

Good luck. I recommend you go to the store for a fitting if you are a serious rider - the styles of boots DO fit differently. Once you get the style that fits you though, you can order them online cheaper.

20. I'm just starting my second pair now.
I love them, and I've never been a cowboy boot kinda guy till I bought my first pair of roper style Ariats. Comfortable, durable, and women seem to dig 'em.
