Opinions on a business idea solicited |
|
I've been thinking of investing in some quality equipment so I can convert video tapes to DVD. There are a lot of taped home movies out there that are dying for various reasons, and could easily be converted to a more permanent medium. I also would like to be able to scan photos and slides and convert them into DVD slideshows.
Not a hard thing to do, but my question to you fine folk is: How much of a market do you think there would be for this as a service?
It can be a time-intensive thing to do (especially photoshopping old photos), but since my PC repair client list is still a bit thin, that's okay. I just need to know if this is already done quickly and cheaply by chain stores, or if a small independent like me could recoup the equipment investment?
I hope for honest comments and opinions.

1. I think that is a growth biz. I know of one person who does it |

part time, and does okay with it. The start-up costs are high, though.
