re/fafafafasosososo/lalalalasibsiblafa/so-sibla----/-------do/etc...

The lyric "hook" is:
And then I go and spoil it all by
saying something stupid like, "I love you."

Song Title?
Artists? (Duet. Was it Frankie and Nancy?)
Recording?

Your help is appreciated!

2. Something Stupid...Frank Sinatra made it famous but I'm not sure who wrote
it
''

I know I stand in line until you think you have the time to spend an evening with me.
And if we go some place to dance I know that there's a chance you won't be leaving with me.
Then afterwards we drop into a quiet little place and have a drink or two.
And then I go and spoil it all by saying something stupid like "I love you"

I can see it in your eyes that you despise the same old lies you heard the night before.
And though it's just a line to you, for me it's true and never felt so right before.

I practice every day to find some clever lines to say to make the meaning come true,
But then I think I'll wait until the evening gets late and I'm alone with you.
The time is right, your perfume fills my head, the stars get red and oh the night so blue.
And then I go and spoil it all by saying something stupid like "I love you"

The time is right, your perfume fills my head, the stars get red and oh the night so blue.
And then I go and spoil it all by saying something stupid like "I love you"

"I love you"
"I love you"

5. SUPER!!! THANX!!!!
Here's the story. I was copying my HCPOA and saw a woman copying some music. I asked her if she played. Yup, flute. Lives around the corner. (We'll do some Telemann duets to check each other out.) Then she INSISTED I WAIT while she finished her business, (which made me late for my app. with the Notary) because her m-i-l had an upcoming BIG birthday and she and her husband SO wanted to sing this song they couldn't find.

She sang the first measure, I joined in till we got to the "hook line."
Then I told her, "You want the good stuff from America? Gimme a coupla hours. You have it."

She has it now. THANX, you wonderful Lounge Lizard Ambassadors!

8. Magnificent site!!!
I'm so grateful to you! I can REALLY USE that!

The couple is just thrilled and delighted, as they'd been searching unsuccessfully for days, that a chance meeting with an Ami was all it took! Those "BIG birthdays" are VERY SERIOUS AFFAIRS in these parts.

SoCalDem, it's AMAZING that you've been able to do an end-run around Robbie Williams! When Take That broke up a suicide hotline was set up for all the distraught teenies. Believe me, you haven't missed a thing! ;-)
