79. Well, just before writing to you,

I was in the bathroom playing with my hair. I got a fabulous haircut a couple of days ago, a complete new style (going from a very long, blunt cut to a slightly shorter one - but still long - with lots of layers). It's like I have a whole new face, practically, because my cheekbones stand out. I can finally let it air dry and not spend 20 minutes straightening it and gasp it still looks good!

Maybe too much information, but it's been years since I've loved a new hairstyle this much!

I'm also listening to the Arctic Monkeys, a local Yorkshire band made good whose debut album was released a few days ago and is already the fastest selling rock album for a new release ever in UK history. I've been listening to them for the last year and a bit (thanks to them kindly putting their songs online for download themselves), and it's time to spread the word!

I have fun reading it every year. It's a compilation of critics' top albums and songs of the year. I see I'm not alone in my listening habits: at one moment I'll be enjoying something quite poppy like Brie Larson or Hope Partlow, and the next moment I might be enjoying System Of A Down or Sufjan Stevens. A few critics are the same way.
