Do you clean your ears?

I don't, I never have... I don't need to. And I read somewhere.. that you shouldn't.

I don't know anybody that doesn't use Q-tips for the ONE thing they seem to be good for.

I could never figure out why the box says it is the ONE thing for which they are not supposed to be used.

6. I don't..

Doing so does nothing. Nothing ever comes out. But I do have to go to the doctor every few years to have them cleaned with a high pressure stream of water. That usually won't get it all so they go in with the cold sharp metal hook thing. Hurts like hell.

7. I had to take my father in for a "de-waxing" recently.

Good lord at the amount of "ear gristle"(my term) that tech pulled out!!!!

The tech also pointed out that the term douche (another term I used) does not apply to cleansing the ear, it's known as irrigation. :evilgrin:

who uses a vacuum system to clean out your ears.....

It is much easier, and does NOT hurt! NO metal sharp hooks...eek!

9. I assume you are talking about something other then the flaming tube.

I have had that done (the flaming tube) and it didn't work.

11. What my doctor does is not the flaming tube...

It is literally a vacuum system.....first he puts in some wax softener, and then he vacuums out my ears.

As he cleans out my ear, the noise does get louder, but this is a temporary discomfort....

I produce a lot of wax, and his system is wonderful!

19. It's the second thing I do after getting out of the shower.

Q-tips, delicately inserted in the ear canal, for getting out the water and little bits of wax.

If I skip a shower, and forget to clean my ears, by the end of the day, there's a little waxy build-up. So yeah, I clean 'em.

24. Yes,because I can't stand listening to the water in them after

showering. I use a q-tip and you're never supposed to do that.
