9. What are they charging her with?
I mean, presumably they have to have some sort of legal basis.

Unless they're gonna ship her to Guantanamo.

Otherwise, we better make damn sure it backfires. Assholes.

but as far as I know as long as you're on American soil they at least pull some legalese out of their ass when they arrest you.

15. "Officially" it's disrupting Congress ...

She is alleged to have unfolded a banner while sitting in the gallery. Presumably it was an anti-war banner.

Side Note: Journalists <sic> have a habit of using the word "allegedly" when speaking of a person who may have committed a crime. They often even go so far as to use it in wildly inappropriate context, such as "he was convicted for allegedly machine-gunning a school full of children in front of 20,000 eye-witnesses." But, with this, I noticed that the word "allegedly" was not used. Found it odd.

Anyway, can't have anything that might make Lord Pissypants feel uncomfortable, ya know.

27. Yet another update ...

This is what I get for paying attention to CNN for one second. Someone posted this in LBN, and I broke down and went there. Gawd they suck.

NOW, the story is that she was wearing a friggin' t-shirt with the number of American dead on it. A shirt. And, she wasn't "arrested," or so the story goes this minute, but "escorted out."

I think I'm just going to go back to my original plan for the evening and finish this bottle of Grey Goose I have sitting here.

It took real journalists a bit to get their stories on the wire.

That seems to be what is coming out from more than one source now.

29. This should either be in the lounge or in the rubbish bin.
The last time I encountered this sort of nonsense was when I was gaming online and another person had to say "terrorist attack on the white house". Everyone instantly knee-jerked... I think the bastard was kicked.

Not that I'm comparing you to him; a forum isn't online gaming! But it's still tasteless if you're not truthful. (more tasteless than even my most sick joke.)

40. .
Donald Rumsfeld is giving the president his daily briefing. He concludes by saying: "Yesterday, 3 Brazilian soldiers were killed."

"OH NO!" the President exclaims. "That's terrible!"

His staff sits stunned at this display of emotion, nervously watching as the President sits, head in hands.

Finally, the President looks up and asks, "How many is a brazillion?"
