Does this boring speech really warrant Level 5?
Honestly, it sounds like a series of sound-bytes, with no coherent message at all.

Or, maybe it's the beer.

Sarcasm is my only response to this mess (I think it's the coke that keeps him on his game).

4. I know - he's just blathering
It's a laundry list. It doesn't seem to belong to a coherent whole.

I know that the SOTU doesn't offer as much dramatic potential as an inaugural address, but it could be so much better. (Content aside.)

5. Of course, it might sound better if it weren't constantly interrupted
with all this goddamned applause.

And doesn't everyone look pretty for TV? :puke:

20. I thought it was bizarre
ABC news said "this has been a terrible year for Bush" and then listed Katrina, the Iraq war, energy prices.

Uh, hello guys. This has been a terrible year for AMERICA you fumbducks. Bush made over a million dollars this year, just like he does every year. He took a month's worth of vacation and flew around the country giving speeches to applauding audiences (as in Manhattan, Ks). He put two RW judges on the Supreme Court, several tax cuts for rich people were made permanent, and more were passed, etc.

He is gearing up for campaign season, and you know he loves that. He could give a rat's a$$ about how bad America has had it.

How many times can you type "asshole" and "fuckstick" before going insane? And what does that do to your blood pressure?

18. Ugh, I dunno
I won't (can't?) watch him. It makes me absolutely crazy. It'll be bad enough reading the recaps. And I know that after listening to Gore's excellent speech a couple weeks ago, there's no way I could watch the chimp's trainwreck of a 'speech' :eyes:

MS Gulf Coast.

Damn, for a minute there, I thought it was a figament of my imagination that my house was destroyed and I am living in a femansion. :freak:

He is going to build more schools, maybe I can live in the art classroom of one of them after 3:30.
There will be showers in the locker rooms. oh boy

27. It wouldn't have, if everyone had just done like I did and ignored it.
It doesn't mean a goddamn thing anyway. Remember a couple of years ago, we were going to send people to Mars?

The SOTU spectacle is beneath contempt, and utterly meaningless. If we ignore it long enough, it'll go away.
