Monthly request for help in accessing the DU gallery.

I've made several requests about how to access the gallery, and PM-ed the proer person, etc., but still no luck. Can anyone show me the secret handshake, or whatever's involved. I would like to post my pic and see some of you, so I can put faces with names.

7. Yeah in a sense you do have to be invited...but there is also a process...

......GregW has to check some things out about everyone who asks for the Gallery link as it's a private site and you must have a certain amount of posts and such to be given the link....it's been compromised in the not so distant past...so be patient and when all criteria has been met then it will be sent to you in due time....til then you may NOT behold the DU Gallery! ;-)

8. I don't know if it's worth it.

I sent a PM to Greg shortly after the old site was compromised. I have gotten NOTHING - not a peep - in what is now well over 6 months. In a way it's very frustrating. I understand the need to make sure about everyone, but c'mon, at least just a short note saying "I got your request, I'm running about X months behind, don't worry."

I figure I'll never see it. Oh well.

5. I want to suggest again

that the gallery be made open-access. Maybe we could have a separate gallery for those who'd rather not be on a fully open site, but I know that trying to screen people adds a lot to trying to maintain the gallery and there really is no way to make it secure.

I've wondered about maybe putting up an open access site for just the Lounge regulars (not that we'd be all that exclusive of the...erm...irregulars).

He's done a lot of good work with the gallery anyway. I saw the gungeon gallery - had no idea, but then I never visit them parts. Maybe just a general site for those who don't mind being in the open? :shrug:

I used to have it at the old DU but it was lost in the transfer. I remember it took a long time to get it but I was fairly new then so maybe that was why. I did offer to help with it but never heard back. Ahh well.

13. Boy....I know the feeling.

I've sent about 7 emails @ 2 months apart and have never even gotten a "howdy-du" or whatever. You get to the point that you start to feel like a pest or something... :)
