I wonder if this is an accurate view of how people here feel?

1. I didn't see either thread, but that's usually the case...

People get little attention. (I don't think being a gay or being Palestinian, in this case, has much to do with it.) Animals get a lot.

Think about the outpouring that happens when authorities find a house with 150 animals living in filth. The Humane Society receives tons of inquiries about adopting the kids, and locking up the owner and throwing away the key. The outpouring is not the same (at least near me) when there is even child abuse.

2. I wonder if that was the attitude in 1940's europe

and we must defeat Bush to save puppies?

It's a good thing I'm not humans ultimate judge.
