1. which brand did you get?
and, if I may ask, what did you pay? I was looking at the Logitech ones on Amazon yesterday, and wondered how well they work. I HATE glitchy crap, because my computer just is too emotionally sensitive to handle it! And it will make me crazy if my computer crashes just at the height of the DU and shopping seasons! :argh: (ok, so maybe I'm the sensitive one)

and how far away did you get? I like to do my stepper while I'm reading email and DU, but my keyboard can't quite reach the little shelf

2. 683' - 685'
It will probably start to lose signal at around 10', but it will pick up real strong at 683'... but will drop off again at 685'.

Honest.

Get a really long tape and try it.

5. I have a Logitech wireless trackball.
I liked it so much, I also got the Logitech keyboard. I don't know the ultimate distance range, but it looks like several feet easily; a lot further than I can imagine any use for. Occasionally, when locked into obsessive compulsive behaviour with Solitaire, I put the trackball on my knee, back the chair away a few feet, and lean back. That's all the distance I need. It isn't the distance anyhow; it's eliminating two bothersone cables from an already cluttered desk.

The trackball goes through the single AA cell faster than I would have expected, but I can live with that. So far, I haven't gotten any low-battery warnings from the keyboard (2 AA cells). I save "spent" AA cells from other higher current devices, and they work nicely in the trackball.
