I No Longer Have a Full Beard
I've had a full beard most of my adult life - since 1977, with a few interruptions where I had just a moustache. I've had my face fully bearded since 1995, so the last time anyone saw my cheeks was eight years ago.

So this morning I got a haircut. And when I got home, I decided I needed a new look. I now have a moustache, goatee, and sideburns - Mrs. CO Liberal says it makes me look younger, and so damn cute! :-)

1. Hmmm...
Most people trim up when the weather starts to get warmer, not colder. I used to wear a beard all winter, then shave it and get a haircut in April. If I shaved it off sooner, my face would freeze for a while. Now I just keep clean shaven - Graybeard Syndrome is depressing. hehe

2. My husband goes back and forth all year long.
I kind of like that. It's almost like getting a new husband every few months. Although when he shaves it off he looks like a baby. :)

4. I Originally Grew My Beard in 1977 For Two Reasons
1 - My first wife and I separated when my daughter was only six months old, and since she was always surrounded by women (my ex, her mother, and her younger sister), I grew the beard so my daughter would immediately recognize me when I came to visit.

2 - My first wife hated it.

:-)
