Where did you meet your stalker*?
Heck with significant others. What about those who just don't seem to go away.

*This post is meant to be light hearted copycat of HT's.

18. I lived there for three years.
And I really had a stalker, who became disruptive not only to me and to my job, but to my friends and their jobs too, trying to get information about me.

9. I never had the pleasure
or displeasure of being stalked online or off. I don't know how I'd react.

3. Seriously, at my daughter's school.
He's the vice principal. I had to get a restraining order. How fucked up is that?

5. No kidding. It was really, really bad.
Stalked me and trashed me at every turn. It was very stressful.

7. I bet it was.
Attraction can be taken way too far by the wrong person.

10. Oh, it wasn't attraction. Puke.
He was determined to destroy my reputation and credibility in a community I have lived in for 15 years.

He is a very, very angry controlling person and I wouldn't back down. So he went on an all out assault.

Even told one of my good friends who teaches there that they would need to discuss her friendship with me.

Asshat.

14. I have a suspicion about a former boss
similar to that. We had a very bad falling out when I quit my job. I moved away to another town but things started happening that I never experienced before. The DHS was called about my kids, lugnuts were removed from my car and various other things that really left me wondering. Nothing I can prove but I have a hunch.

8. It's sad such incidents are even an issue.
I've never met my stalker, but he's a rightwing "regular" who was banned at a 700-member forum that Call Me Wesley and I administer. He hates my guts because I banned him for making misogynist and racist threats against other members. He became my stalker by reporting me to the Swiss Federal Police for violating his First Amendment rights (like the Swiss Federal Police give a fat rat's ass about his "rights" in the US), threatening on several occasions to sue me regarding the TOS of a board I don't even own, emailing me regularly with such threats, and telephoning me from Texas on Sunday mornings at the crack of dawn. He is a very, very sick human bean, and I wish him the (mental) health he apparently does not have.

I didn't mean to dredge up any unpleasant thoughts, least of all to you Heidi.

13. She was a "Hooter" girl
I actually had to have her arrested and got a restraining order against her. She died about two years later. Too much drugs and alcohol abuse took it's toll. She was 33.

16. I honestly don't know what I'd do
in a situation such as that. That would be so weird. Depending on how things started I'm sure I'd think with my zipper for awhile.

19. "think with my zipper for awhile"

I think that's why I let it continue longer than I should have. But there is only so much a person will put up with, well, I take that back. I know several people who put up with abusive mates and refuse to leave or make the other leave.

The crazy ass ex-Hooter girl used to follow me around and let me know that she knew where I was all the time, like once when I went to Orlando with my new girlfriend and we left our hotel room in the morning there was a sticky-note on our door from her (she'd draw a little happy face she used on her notes) saying, "I hope you two are having fun, Love XXXX"
Followed us 250 miles out of town and yes, made us look over our shoulders the rest of the weekend.
This was after the injunction too which she denied and accused me and the new GF of forging the note just to get her in trouble.
