musically ignorant as to not be able to venture a guess as to the smiths category ;)

The New Romance was a pretty good album, but they're a hard one to classify. Post-Sonic Youth? :P

39. Me too.....
I love her voice. Apparently they're boring live, though. My friend saw them (a big fan of the records) and walked out after about ten songs.

Never saw them live, so who knows.

Their best songs: "Letter From an Occupant," off of Mass Romantic, and "Miss Teen Wordpower" off of Electric Version.

42. I'm listening to neo-post-punk.

The Monorchid, who arose from the wreckage of D.C.'s Circus Lupus in 1996, and dissolved in 1998, shortly after which two of their members re-emerged as the almost-as-equally dazzling Skull Kontrol. Motherfucking awesome, the Monorchid were. Mother. Fucking. Awesome. Imagine Go4 with a spastic disorder and *two* Andy Gills, fronted by a John Lydon from an alternate universe where he had a brutal case of ADHD and his nuts perpetually clenched in a vise. Mother. Fucking. Awesome.
