`Ironclad confirmation' for three siblings

BERLIN—DNA tests have proved claims by three German siblings that famed U.S. aviator Charles Lindbergh was their father, a family adviser says.

Yesterday, Anton Schwenk, a spokesperson for the three Germans, said genetic tests conducted by the University of Munich in October proved with 99.9 per cent certainty that Dyrk, 45, and David Hesshaimer, 36, and their sister Astrid Bouteuil, 43, were Lindbergh's children.

1. Lindbergh was, in many ways, a tragic figure.
The Lone Eagle was a loner all the way. Wrong about Hitler, right about the environment, but always a loner. His infant son's kidnapping and death cemented that. Anne Morrow Lindbergh - his wife -also loved others, notably the French writer St. Exupery. Our heroes all have feet of clay.

3. Well, this information certainly puts a new twist on a popular song about
Lucky Lindy in the 1920's: Like An Angel You Flew Into Everyone's Heart (Lindbergh)
