Who has a wife/significant other that LOVES to re-arrange furniture?

So, since Christmas, we've re-arranged the living room, family room, computer room, and our bedroom--twice.

Now we have painted three rooms, to include the kitchen twice (ourselves), and my back hurts, my feet are sore, and I think I pulled my uvula.

Is there a cure for this? Can I get her some sort of medicine?

I loves to rearrange furniture! Hubby can't anymore. He hurt his back. You could try that, but it sucks! :(

5. love of rearranging furniture is genetic.

my mother's favorite places were furniture stores. And when we were kids, we'd rearrange the house all the time. Switch bedrooms at the drop of a hat, it was good, cheap entertainment. It's only a problem if you come home late and don't turn on the lights quick enough. Crash, "where the hell did that chair come from?" It can be dangerous unless you are intimately involved. :-)

This past month, I made my husband move the big chair upstairs, then back downstairs, then we moved the couch upstairs. I also made him replace the toidy in the powder room.

I will stop when the house is *perfect*. Not one moment before.

What is an 'uvula'? Sounds painful.

That's how much furniture I've moved.

8. My grandmother was an incorrigible re-arranger.

Drove most of the family crazy, and because we nearly always had farmhands who lived on the property, she'd draft them to help her " Play Upset the Fruit Basket" (her term for rearranging) on rainy or snowy days when my grandfather didn't need them.

I'd do more rearranging myself if I had a house that was conducive to it, but where the furniture is is the only place it really fits well...

Rearranging also helps make sure everything is clean and tidy.

14. I'm the re-arranger in our family - I redo it all every six months or so

sometimes sooner.

It's apparently because I use both sides of my brain equally - I took the brain test, and came out even, and it said that one of the manifestations of that is a need to re-arrange spaces on a somewhat continuous basis for the sake of freshness and newness. And it's true - I've been that way for years, and I start getting dragged down when my furniture has been in the same spot for too long. Even moving it a foot gives me a whole new batch of energy and excitement.
