GroundHog Day is tomorrow, in honor I am watching Ground Hog Day.
I think it is Bill Murray 's best movie and Andie MacDowell isn't bad either.

I have watched this movie a thousand times but I always enjoy it.

I found the way Bill Murray's character handles the day repeating itself interesting.

I would hope I would handle it better, any guess how many times the day is repeated.

Have a nice GroundHog day, tomorrow.

:hi: :bounce: :toast:

3. One of the finest comedies ever made.
I love all Bill Murray/Harold Ramis films: Stripes, Caddyshack, Ghostbusters, and Groundhog Day.

In a way, I'd love to have the same experience. It could get maddening, but how many of us live the same day over and over again anyway? If I had an eternity in one day to perfect myself, win over the girl I love, etc., I'd take it.

4. It's actually a pretty deep movie. It's one of my faves.
He finally "gets it" in the end, that true happiness comes from being in service to others...and from enjoying and being fully present in the moment.

a good lesson for all of us to be reminded of, don't ya think?

hello texanwitch!! :hi: Happy Imbolc, too. Bright blessings to you.

6. I agree..the transformation he makes is very meaningful...
I've seen this movie so many times and it's just one of those really, really feel goods. Seeing him go from a total asshole to such a great person is heartwarming. Happy Groundhog Day!

7. Happy Imbolc to you. Many and bright blessings to you.
The movie has a excellent lesson, it is not just about me.

I like it when he takes the old gentleman to eat, and tries to save him.

In trying to save the old gentleman he saves himself.

8. Great movie
One nit pick was the piano teacher at the end. "He's my student!" How could she be so proud if she had only given him one lesson?

Trivia question: How many times was that day relived in the film?

Phil Connors goes through February 2nd, 34 times. There were many more days implied, for example how he knew everyone so well in the diner, but only 34 days were actually shown.
