The A's or the Yankees?

1. Which Twins team? The one of today, or the one with...
...Kent "By a vowel" Hrbek and Bert "Have her home" Blyleven?

2. LOL
The one now...I am picking out my birthday present. (I get tickets to a Twins game for my birthday every year).

3. Of the two, I'd take the A's
But it's like asking if you want to die by gas or hanging.

In a time warp, I'd take the Dodgers in 1965.

Ideally, I'd take Seattle so I could go down to the visitor's bullpen and say hello to Jeff Nelson.

Yeah, I'm a name-dropper. Shoot me.

4. Yes Twins vs Dodgers in 1965 would be lovely
I am thinking the A's, since the Yankee fans seem to come out for games, and they are an annoying bunch.

5. Have a look at the linescores and stats
http://www.baseball-reference.com/postseason/1965_WS.shtml

That was the year Sandy Koufax became a god. Pitched on two days' rest to win the pennant, then on two days' rest to win Game 7. Threw 24 innings in three starts in the Series with an ERA of 0.38.

6. I know
Koufax was amazing. Did you know, that all of the WS the Twins have been in have gone to Game 7?

I am thinking the Twins did not so much lose the 1965 WS as the Dodgers just had amazing pitching.

7. That was their signature
Team ERA was 2.81; the starters' ERA was 2.63. Koufax, Drysdale and Osteen combined for 1,031 innings (335 2/3 by Koufax). Koufax completed 27 of 41 starts, Drysdale 20 of 42. And Koufax also had two saves.

'Course, when your team batting average is .245 and you score 608 runs (3.75 per game), you need that kinda pitching.

It was a hell of a summer to be a 9-year-old boy. :7

8. I was one, and did not live in Minnesota then
If I had stayed where I was born, I would likely be a very sad and pathetic Phillies fan!

13. Black and white weigh a lot more than the other colors
Scientific fact.

That's why you never see a black-and-white hot-air balloon.
