My best childhood friend would have been 46 today |
|
If some lowlife scum hadn't abducted her from the side of a freeway and, presumably, murdered her May 24, 1990. She hasn't been seen since.
Sorry if this is a bummer but she was a quite a person and I want her to be remembered. Please toast to Paige Renkoski today -- wherever you are. She would appreciate it and so will I :toast:

sentiment. I hope your friend has peace wherever she is. I have a girlfriend like that who died from being depressed and overdosed. I think of her often. Especially on her birthday.
She would be very happy to know your keeping her memory alive.

10. That's terrible. She was robbed. So were you. How awful to have your |
|
childhood memories framed by such an event. I am sure you honor her everyday in your life. A toast to Paige. And let her death not be in vain -- all of us reading this who travel alone or have loved ones traveling alone, be careful, Stay alert. The open road can be a dangerous place. Your car can give you a false sense of security.

We think it might have been someone she knew. She was within sight of an exit she knew, there was nothing wrong with the car, and her father had been a state cop so she knew not to get out of the car for a stranger.
Her fiance at the time had an alibi but was making some strange remarks both before and after she disappeared and I don't think he's ever been ruled out as a 'person of interest.' I just hope someday we find out what happened. Her father died without ever knowing..

It is very odd, posts like yours make me feel more positive about remaining on this earth... I feel sad, but know that there is much good to still be done. Your thread helped me to remember how precious life really is.
Peace and low stress, mdmc

I don't know how anyone can find closure when there are no definitive explanations for her disappearance. I hope the future holds answers and some kind of justice for her.

24. She is my guardian angel, for sure |
|
I had a brain tumor discovered on a fluke five months after she disappeared. I had no symptoms and the combination of events that led to its discovery make me really believe that Paige had a hand in it.
Benign tumor; I'm fine now. But I would have died if it hadn't been removed.
