2. Depends on what it is, where it lands, and how clean the floor was |
|
If it's soup, then no, I don't try to pick it up.
If it's a clean floor or carpet, and it's been there just a couple seconds, then yes, I will pick it up and eat it.
But it really depends on the food item, the medium of the floor, the cleanliness of the floor, and the time elapsed.

A few factors go into the decision-making process.

Though soup may be a little extreme for a moist example. :)

6. Yes, but the wet food clause |
|
can be mitigated by a) the tastiness of the food, and b) the last time the floor was cleaned.

11. Well, that and the thickness of the carpet and type of soup... |
|
I dropped a bisque on the shag bath rug, and it was way hard to get back into the bowl. However, a nice cream of mushroom on our industrial living room "carpet" was just as tasty. (j/k all of the above... but the wet food clause still stands)

Once, in a restaurant, I dropped my last precious piece of yummy lobster on the floor. People were watching, so I couldn't retrieve it! It killed me. x(

15. well if food falls in a kitchen and nobody's there to hear it |
|
it probably does not make a sound. So why not eat it? It probably doesn't really exist anyway.

18. Depends, but usually throw away. |
|
If it's generally intact and uncorrupted, I'd probably eat it. (ex: an unpeeled banana or orange falls out of the basket)
If it's meat, dairy, or squishy -- oh, hell no.

26. Well where is the other catagory? |
|
It depends what food and where it's dropped. If it's a peanut m&m or oreo cookie not dropped on any wet spot I'd eat it. If it was soft food or wet-ish food I'd toss it.
