Poll question: What should I throw at my roleplaying game group tonight?
Keep in mind, this game is set in 1993.

Dinosaurs or the Undead.

1. Rocks
or mashed potatoes. Sort of depends on how much you like them I guess.

2. Real live girls
If they're like my ex-gaming group, that should sufficiently freak the fsck out of them

3. What, no option for undead dinosaurs?!
Edited on Thu Feb-02-06 04:54 PM by Rob H.
:P

Edited to add: I voted for the undead. Can't go wrong with the undead--even if the characters don't get kiled and eaten right away, there's the whole delayed zombification thing if they get bitten.

4. Well, what kind of weapons do they have?
Did you give them the big guns and lots of explosives, or the usual hand weapon stuff?

7. Pistols, mostly.
A couple of shotguns, we have a melee specailist, and a martail arts guy, as well.

Well, hell, I'm not playing tonight, give them the velociraptors!

6. Why Choose?
Undead dinosaurs. Or undead people riding dinosaurs.

Although, getting swallowed by a skeletal TRex isn't as scary due to the 'You fall out of the ribcage' factor

15. Pity...
I'd go with the humanoid undead then. From what I've heard/read, D20 Modern characters might have trouble with the big dinos. The Medium-sized ones might work, but it'd be iffy

16. We would be talking medium size.
Think Escapees from a lab doing genetic research for the US Military.

It is set in 93.. Isn't that about the time Jurassic park came out?

17. Ok
That should be doable. As long as they don't run into a full raptor pack, it should be fun. And yeah, JP came out abound '93.

I still voted for the undead, but that's because I have a soft spot for them. Must be my inner Darkbond...

They've faced bear, feline, dolphin and canine Moreaus, (half human, half animal) some humans, and about 20 goblin security guards.

14. I'd go with the undead
they've dealt with animal threats recently, so you should mix it up.

18. Well if you are DM
I'd suggest switching games when they least expect it

In one case a DM switched from Travellers to Call of Cthulhu - it was really scary as we all tried to find ways to deal with this new scenario.
(But I have an advantage - it's all weird to me. I play as a medic who was forced by the military to become an assassin. Trained to saves lives, forced to take them , brainwashed -bordeline psyichotic when I/he figuresi it out )

So switch games, change the rules in mid stream.

Khash.

24. OK, I am pissed.
I had four ghouls gang up on the martial artist character who botched his first round, kicked himself in the face, and knocked himself down.

He stayed prone for ten rounds (Fight lasted 16). I rolled like shit. I think the ghouls (Who have two attacks a piece) landed three blows on him.

I had to put up with Chuck Norris references ALL NIGHT!
