Any Battlestar Galactica fans around?

Anyway, the new Battlestar Galactica has surprised the hell out of me. I like it as much as I hated the original series. It and "Ghost in the Shell: Stand Alone Complex" are two of the best science fiction shows I've seen on TV. Ever. I watch those shows even more religiously than I watch "The Daily Show."

I like that they're making thinly veiled criticisms of the Bushistas through fairly obvious metaphors. How far is too far when acting in the name of "national security"? (One Battlestar captain let 15 ships full of civilians die just so she could have a few spare parts and supplies for her war effort.)

The next episode airs tomorrow on Sci-Fi Channel, and I can hardly wait. Has anyone else here been getting into it?

Unfortunately, I haven't been seeing G.I.T.S.: S.A.C. on a regular basis. But what I have seen is bangin'.

4. GitS is some of the best TV sci-fi around.

The movies kick ass as well. Ghost in the Shell 2: Innocence is everything the Matrix sequels should have been.

2. I catch it every week

it is VERY good. The last episode kind of stunk, even the producers admitted that right off the bat in the podcast. Expect that to be an exception and not the general rule.
