the last Super Bowl I'll really care about

A funny thing happened to my sportsfandom this past fall--I brought my DirecTV package with the aim of enjoying the NFL coverage. This was back in September, only about 3 weeks from the start of theseason. and before I was able to the Sunday Ticket, I discovered something else much more enjoyable(without the likes of TO ruining it)..SOCCER, or as I call it, the REAL football :evilgrin: Manchester United, Real Madrid, Juventus, Bayern Munich, and Barcelona--seeing the likes of Roanldiho zoom past helpless defenders is a real treat. Eventually I stopped trying to keep track of the NFL like before, and began checking to see if Man U had beaten Wolves in the FA Cup or not :bounce: I've even decked out half of my bedroom walls with oseters of Rooney, the Bayern team,Real and Becks. I'll add the Old Trafford and Allianze arena posters next week or so (I just ordered some items this monring). So I'll still watch the Super Bowl , but this is the last one for me. Just my way of a)enjoying the beautiful game and b)my own gesture of sticking it to the uS centric view of "we're beetr than the rest of the world in football" :eyes: The German fans from Bayern were surprised to see that I was a fan of their teama nd have welcomed me with open arms--now that's cool!
