The boys loved it.

But no, I do not 'Know Dorothy' personally.

5. Their soundtrack for Dune was worse than the movie
Which, when you think about it, is fairly remarkable. :D

6. OMFG! I once said to a friend, "The only thing worse than the movie Dune
was the soundtrack!"

As a bassist, I was embarrassed for the music and the performance of fellow bassist, Sting.

10. And Sting i s one of the most underrated bassists ever
but still - Dune is the most overrated David Lynch movie ever

13. Not familiar with Sting's bass playing, but I'll agree about Dune
By far Lynch's worst. Though, as a David Lynch fanboy, I'm still required to like it.

19. As to Lynch - yeah - Dune is no Fire Walk With Me.
As to Gordon Sumner (Sting) - he is a genius. So are Andy Summers and Stewart Copeland - the Police were a super-band in the Cream sense.

24. Fire Walk With Me is by far Lynch's most underrated.
Ranks next to Mulholland Dr. as one of my favourites.

I've never listened to The Police outside of "Roxanne"...which I've heard far too many times. My friends used it as a drinking game just about every weekend...like 5 times a night.

15. Try singing Spirits in the Material World while playing the bassline
It's hard as hell! I had to sing and play this tune in college, and it took me while to get it right (just the bassline itself is quite tricky).

18. Mr. Sumner might have had studio help
but all three times I saw him live he did it correctly, and it's easy to "cheat" that bassline ;)

29. That was 93, you dipshit.
Remember, our whole "group" was gonna go, but y'all didn't want me along and I had to beg and plead to go (this is around the time you and me were on the outs). Ended up sitting out on the lawn listening to the second set, avoiding the puking jocks and random rowdies. I closed my eyes enjoyed "space," lying out there by myself.

6-5-93....I have this tape; it's not that great. (First 'Easy Answers," ugggh)

25. My wife made me go see Toto at B.B. King's in NYC last year...
It didn't totally suck. They had Greg Phillinganes on keyboards, which kicked ass. And as usual, Simon Philips on drums, who is just a freakin' GOD.
