2. I"d say keep it
Since its SimCity 4 of course. If it was something like Unreal Tournament or some other fast paced game I'd say take it back.

Then again, since its unopened you can take it back for a full refund and buy it cheaper when you get over the carpal.

7. ok man
I'll answer you here. I have a thread on it. Ok. So I finally found a soundcard CD and I installed it, but I dont hear anything, and I dont get that message like I used to, and whenever I play an MP3 I get silence but it moves, its on but no sound comes out.

8. no...
sue the parent company of the store that sold it to you...does it have a warning on it that says if you play it for 32 straight days, you're gonna have wrist problems? I thought not...

JUST KIDDING!

you could uh...not play it for a while :D

I've been playing Project Gotham Racing 2 nonstop since I got it Wed. afternoon...i'm almost all the way through the single player game, and I'm already at level 5 XBox live. It ROCKS! No lag at all...online play is pure mayhem.

9. No, get a graphics pad
and use that instead of a mouse.

voice recognition and a virtual keyboard will take strain off your hands. Use those at work too.

I use via voice with some success. I also have handwriting recognition, just to use other muscles. An on screen keyboard (virtual keyboard) works well with a graphics pad. I recommend the Wacom pad.

10. Get a brace for your forearm, like I did
I played Civ 3 so intensely this summer that I developed a ganglion cyst on my right wrist, very painful. Went to one of the best hand surgeons in the country in October, he decided not to operate, said that a brace would help, and within 2 days, the cyst was gone. I still wear it from time to time, it takes alot of pressure off my wrist, hand and forearm while I'm computing, allows me to game away as I please. Might help w/carpal tunnel, too.

Give up my computer games? Hell, no!!
