65. I'll find plenty of time for that ...
I don't want to become overbearing.

I just want to escape onto the open road in a few months with nothing hanging over my head except beautiful blue sky.

I have spent about 30 hours this week watching them.. Normally it's only three kids, today I had seven (plus -- sweeping, moping, dishes, folding clothes, cleaning cages, and a ton of other shit.) I need a beer.. Jesus fuck.. These tards get fucking awards for makings millions (actors).. The real heroes get shit for the hardest work (mothers).

Props to the dads that help out too.

8. No, but I'm in a great mood all of a sudden.
No work until tomorrow night--Yay!

I managed to leave work today, go to the bank, go to the grocery store for veggie lasagna stuff, go to the liquor store for beer, and get home in 45 minutes....on foot! (I'm kind of stunned!)

Right now it's some DU time, some Randi, and later--I make the veggie lasagna, clean the house, have a beer, and do whatever I want for the rest of the weekend. (Except for that stint at work, but I like that job so even that's not going to put me in a bad mood.)

And the game? Meh. Sports don't register for me and I have a decent DVD collection and lots of books & stuff to amuse me instead so...YAY again!

:toast: to a nice weekend and to you.

12. Yes, for a change!
Tomorrow morning, we get a hitch installed on the truck so we can haul our utility trailer when we go camping (the trailer carries all our gear). Then we're going to Monterey tomorrow night for a concert which should be fun.

On Sunday, my sweetie is going to his buddie's house for a super bowl party so I get the house all to myself! Oops and I are going to curl up with a good movie and a bottle of wine and enjoy.

(That popcorn looks good!) :hi:

14. I want a pop-up trailer.
I understand what you are saying--you have a utility trailer for all of the stuff you have to lug along when you camp.

I want a pop-up trailer. Used to, you could get them for a steal here, but then Katrina hit, and anyone with any kind of liveable trailer started asking double what they were worth. So, now, a pop-up trailer (used) costs about $3000.

I'm getting my jeep repaired this spring, and then we'll just borrow my Dad's trailer when we go camping. It's a nice sized lo-boy, about 8 x 20, and we can set up the picnic table on it.

36. No, see, here in the civilized world
the word "hunting" isn't automatically associated with redneck freaks toting semi-automatic weapons in order to slaughter Bambi's mom.

Rather, hunting means "looking for" or "searching for" as in...I am going to be looking for a kitten, to, you know, adopt.

67. Now that the white veg truck is on the road...
...I can now put the engine together for the brown one. It's a 1980 VW "Caddy" Pickup with a 1.6L diesel and a five speed. I have to take the engine off of the stand, put the flywheel and clutch on it, attach the trans, put it on a rolling platform, shove it under the truck and lift it into place. Then I have to put the cylinder head on it and blah blah blah.

Sunday it a trip for some goldfish and then the Puppy Bowl. I got money on the two Springer Spaniels.

87. Thank you!
Today actually went well, and I got a lot accomplished. It's been apart so long that I had to keep looking at my other VW pickup to see where stuff went. No show stoppers. But, I am real sore this evening, and my lower back is killing me. I used to thrash on cars 18 hours without a break, but I was 16 and 135 lbs. I'm 42 and 205 now. Oy.

Well, the second day is usually not so bad. We will see what tomorrow brings.

I was over-reacting (big surprise there, huh?) and things are looking up. :) I'm still going to eat my weight in junk food, though.

81. Hello, my friend!
Went to our monthly peace demo this morning. Now just relaxing. Will probably do more of the same (relaxing) tomorrow along with some housework and baking. Ain't life exciting?

Hope you and yours are well!

P.S. I am now officially cut off from the PIG. No more streaming unless one buys into RealOne.

91. Hey there, hippywife!! OMG, no PIG?! I'm so sorry, gf.
I never listen to it online, obviously, so I have no idea how much of an investment RealOne would be. That sucks, though. I thought they did that a while ago, like 2 yrs ago. Did you just decide to cut back, due to cost? Bummer.

Life's good here. Busy, as per usual. Kids are healthy right now, thank god.

My 12 yr old son told me yesterday he actually WANTS to go to his 6th grade middle school "winter dance", next Friday. so that's exciting news...esp. given that he didn't even tell us about the first one. Hahahah. So this will be his very first school dance EVER. My little boy is growing up! I also must brag: he brought home his very first middle school report card on Friday and he got STRAIGHT A's!!!! That's my boy. :woohoo:

Have fun relaxing and baking! Sounds great. :loveya:  :pals:

95. Well, they did
go with Real a couple of years ago but the old Shoutcast stream was out there if one knew how to find it. No more. Real cost $5.99/month or $50 a year but for some reason the PIG has never worked there very well since the very beginning. Somewhere they are just not connecting all the time. And yes, we don't make much money so we have to make priority decisions about how we spend our funds. So, I'll just listen to other stations that still have a free stream. WDVX works very well most of the time but I'm gonna miss my PIG.

That's great that your son wants to go to the dance. I assume at his age it is just a mixer. I hope he has a great time.

Glad to hear that you all are well and happy. I saw your pic earlier this week (or was it last?) You're as beautiful as your heart and soul, my friend. Hugs to you!

96. Oh, thanks for your kind words, sweetie. I'm touched, truly.
:loveya:

yeah, the parents of one of my son's friends are thinking of having a little "pre-dance gathering" at their home, with like 5 girls and 5 boys...pizza, tunes...break the ice sorta thang, then they can all go to the dance together. Doesn't that sound adorable? Gawd, I NEVER went to any of my school dances when I was his age. chuckle, chuckle.... It's weird.

Anyway, again you have my condolences about the KPIG thing. I'd miss it, too. :pals: We gotta make our priorities, afterall. I can totally respect that.

xoxoxoxo darlin'! See you 'round....

My dad and I went to one of the first Seahawks games in the Kingdome almost 30 years ago, so this will be great. :D

Seahawks. It's a cool image. Have you happened to see the cool pix on Seattle Girl's sig line of a burning hawk? It's very cool.

Have fun, my dear! :hi:

84. Well, my big weekend 'errand'
was to find a nice outfit for when we go to Puerto Rico in two weeks.

Mission Accomplished. Thank you, Dress Barn.

Full disclaimer: I am a tee shirt and jeans with flip flops kind of person, so dressing up is something I don't do well.

97. It is my husband's company's corporate trip.
I am really excited about it. We have been to some wonderful places with them, which is nice, because since he travels so much, he isn't big on vacations away from home.

I need a break, too. I have been covering for my co-worker because she is on maternity leave and between that, homeschooling my son, and taking care of my FIL and the other two kids, I am pretty burnt out.

98. My duaghter's home for the weekend
:)

I really miss her when she's in the dorm.

I took care of the paperwork on the farmhouse and it's mine! (okay, I'm renting, but it feels like a home.) My daughter sketched the layout and we measured windows and found where the laundry chute goes and all. I wish the end of March were here because I'd be out of this hole and out in the country.

:hi:
