Things you should never buy the cheap kind of:
Toilet paper: You're gong to get pretty intimate with the stuff whether you want to or not, so you might as well enjoy it.

Pasta: DiCecco or do without, is how it works in this house.

Ketchup: The Repubs are only hurting themselves by not buying Heinz.

OK, your turn.

However, Target sells a TP that is remarkably like Quilted Northern. It's inexpensive, and soft.

I'm an orange juice snob, and I like Florida's Natural a LOT. It's run by a co-op, and I know one of the families in the co-op and while they're rather overbearingly "Christian", they mean well (aren't evil fundies).

75. I agree with that
my mother has a lot of emeralds that are geniuine. My father had to search far and wide to fine the real ones, not the lab created. She does have a necklace that he bought her in the 90's that is a rough cut chunk about 2 carats. That he has never told how much it cost him, just know that it was a bundle!

57. Computer power supplies.
When building a computer, it's awfully tempting to skimp on the power supply after you've spent so much money on all the other parts. Life's too short to put up with cheap power supplies.

  • They never output the wattage they say they do.

  • Every single thing in your computer depends on it.

  • When it goes bad, it can damage other parts in your computer.

  • When it goes bad, it's insanely hard to diagnose. The problems it produces always seem to end up looking like other kinds of problems, so you can bark up several wrong trees before you figure out what the real problem is.

But when it becomes painful to walk because of hammertoes, bunions, or other problems, it can affect your whole life.
Luckily, I don't have any of these as I sold shoes when I was quite young and saw some truly hideous feet.
I wear plastic birkenstocks quite often...they look like clown shoes! I change into other shoes if need be at my destination.

69. I can't wear cheap sneakers, either
I tend to pronate, meaning I walk on the inside of one foot. In addition, the lack of cushioning in the soles were causing me pain.
I can't wear plain sneakers, but then again, I am older now.
I buy New Balance, I think they are 901's, made especially for people who pronate.
They have made my life much more pleasant.

Stay away from jugs of wine with screw-tops. Stay far, far away from them.

93. You get what you pay for
is a mantra that has more truth than most people want to believe.

Cigars - not a real smoker, I may smoke one every couple of months. But I have learned that tghe cheap ones give you headaches. :)

Wine - Cheap wine cheapens life. Serial killers drink cheap wine.

Beer - mostly I drink ales. If it's lite, it's not beer.
