6. Reminds me of the heartbreak I experienced at age five |
|
when I found out on a winter family car trip that there were no rabbits to see in Cedar Rapids.
I have never recovered. I hope you recover from the lack of statues in this undeleted subthread.

7. Good Lord, Cedar Rapids. You should have included that in my "name |
|
a town you've been to" thread.
Actually, I've been there a lot. Traveled there on business in the 1980s (Rockwell Collins was my customer). I liked that town.

And in Yankton, SD I had the best ham, hashbrowns, and side of toast of the first ten years of my life.
I do love me some midwestern US. A lot of nice folks still.
What did you do for Rockwell Collins? Audio stuff?

14. High-frequency, severe-environment interconnect stuff for their avionics. |

A lot of people may not think that sales /application engineering stuff is exciting, but I sure felt good when I walked out of there with a $1.5 million yearly contract, only three years after starting to sell to them.

PS: Next time you fly on a commercial airliner, think about the fact thst some stuff I designed is very likely to be behind the avionics on the flight deck. Trust me, it should make you feel safer.
