I utterly apologize. Not only did I burn bridges with plenty of other DUers; I was just frustrated over a coworker, of which there was a long-standing mutual attraction, and it turned out she was married (no ring on the finger or anything; I was close to asking her out and getting to know her better.)

I felt crushed. To say the very least. And I've never been good with frustration; I came close to doing something very stupid to myself as well.

Seriously. Everyone's allowed a bad day, now and then. And I didn't find your thread offensive at all.

Maybe you touched on a nerve. People get all funny when it comes to flirting. What can seem like harmless fun can wound others, if you're not careful. Like you, I tend to get hurt when it's all just a game, and when it comes right down to it, "they just aren't that into you."

Been there, done that - and I know how much it hurts. Believe me, I know.

11. I don't think you've burned bridges at all,

but if, let the bridges be crumbled down. From what I know, there are a lot of people on here who did understand and went through this, even the ones who did not obviously agree with your point of view.

We're all hurt and wounded, but I think we did hurt and wound someone else too we never could think of. And nobody's good with frustration, but it's a part of life, if we like it or not. Everyone deals with it different, but we can't escape it. It's life, and it doesn't always smell like roses, inside and outside.
