3. I caught the entire second season, and a few episodes of the |

third. But the first season remains the best. I know the DVD's don't have the original songs on the soundtrack from when the series was first broadcast, so I don't know if you get the full emotional impact of scenes like the end of the first season. Specialist Horn (the war protestor-turned-effective rifleman) gets critically wounded in a meaningless battle and is carried off to the tune of "The Weight" by The Band. That scene wouldn't be nearly as effective without that song.
