What's a cool song I should download onto my iPod?

Lately I've been leaning toward mid-80s songs that were semi-popular on college radio, along the lines of "Love Will Tear Us Apart, Again" by Joy Division, "Alex Chilton" by the Replacements, "Million Miles Away" by the Plimsouls, "The Killing Moon" by Echo and the Bunnymen, "Perfect Skin" by Lloyd Cole, etc.

I am open to other decades. I'm not a huge hip-hop person, but I'll take a "Hey Ya" type of song every now and again. I don't like 98% of country, and I don't like heavy metal.

Any suggestions? Thanks.
