JohnnyRingo (1000+ posts) Fri Feb-03-06 04:09 PM Original message I must admit, GW Bush leads me daily along a religious path I got up today, went to the mailbox, looked skyward and exclaimed: "Hallelujah! Delphi sent me another pension check!"
Walking in the house I opened the newspaper and mumbled: "Jesus Christ...3 more soldiers killed in Iraq today, there's no excuse."
On my way to the bank, I notice we've had some strange weather lately: "Oh my God...it's 50 degrees today, have we ignored global warming for too long?"
Then, stopping for gas on the way to the store I realize: "Holy smokes!... gas went up to $2.80 a gallon last night!"
At the grocery store I see elderly people doing their monthly shopping and wonder: "What in God's name... are they going to do when their their social security's cut?"
Later, as I settled in at the computer I read of White House domestic spy programs I say: "My GOD!...What is this country coming to?"
Having my fill of news, I sat down to pay my bills in shock: "Awww Christ....how am I gonna pay a $400 dollar heat bill?"
In frustration I leave for the local tavern and answer a friend's outrage that Bush needs another $40b for war: "Where in Hell does he think he's going to get the money for that?"
On the way home the car radio tells of more tax cuts for the wealthiest companies and I think aloud: "For the love of Christ...Are there no limits to their greed?"
Before I go to bed, I check my e-mail one more time, shaking my head: "Good Lord...I can't believe my buddy has to relocate because the car plant is closing."
As I await sleep, I look to the ceiling and say: "Thank Heaven.. I survived another day in GW's America."
If George Bush's goal was to bring me to my knees.... "Mission Accomplished"

1. What always makes me sad.... |
|
Is grocery shopping. I have my buggy half full with stuff my kid picks out, and I pass and elderly gentleman with a pint of milk and maybe some balogna and store-brand bread. He has four or five items, and he's looking at the Little Debbies, wondering if he can afford a 99-cent snack.
It always makes me sad. :(

3. What I wish is that I could say is... |
|
"Hey, let me just throw your groceries in with mine, sir, and hand me those cookies you were looking at, too."
But that would probably destroy the dignity of the person, so I never say it. :(

the character in real life. Quite a sense of humor. Probably the biggest hearted man I have ever known. I've watched him literally break down and cry over this administration.

7. you could always drop a ten dollar bill behind him and say, Sir is this |
|
yours, I saw it drop out of your pocket." or if you are good you could drop one into his basket while distracting him. Have one of your kids do it. Teaches compassion.
