Please help a doofus with his Ipod nano
I have this... friend... who somehow did something to his Ipod, and now the song title and artist don't appear on screen. The screen is completely blank except for "Now Playing" at the top. The only exception is if it's a song I've purchased from Itunes, the song's album art appears on screen. I can see all of the other menus. What did I do, and how do I fix it?

As a prize, the first person to help me fix it gets to know the last ten songs I listened to on my Ipod. (oooohhh... aaaaahhhhh....)

Thanks in advance!

1. Have you tried reseting it?
My screen freezes up every now and then (I have the 30 gig videp ipod) and that straightens it right out.

3. I don't want to reset it, because I'm in the middle
of listening to a shuffle of all 318 songs on it. However, if that's what I have to do, that's what I have to do.

I'll wait to see if I get another idea in this thread before you get the "prize". Thanks, though! :D

7. All right, you win!!
Here are the last 10 songs I've heard on my Ipod, but been able to identify only by memory:

Run - Snow Patrol
In Liverpool - Suzanne Vega
Bridge Over Troubled Water - Simon & Garfunkel
Vertigo - Aztec Camera
What You Are - Ricky Ross
Fight Test - Flaming Lips
Cold Water - Damien Rice
I've Got a Life - The Eurythmics
Reason For Living - Roddy Frame
Walking on the Sun - Travis

Now I'm sure your night is complete!

2. I just got one this week
I only see the artwork on the songs I bought from iTunes, not the ones I copied from my own CDs.

I am a technological doofus, so take this with a grain of salt. :D

4. Yeah, when you copy your own music
you don't get the album art. But I'm not even getting the song title and artist info while the song's playing, which I was up until a few days ago. :-(

Aren't they cool? :hi:

5. Oh, that is weird.
:(

I can't get it to connect to Rhapsody, which is annoying. :banghead:

6. Rhapsody doesn't work with Ipods.
I had a Creative Zen Micro, and that worked, but you can't currently use any of the subscription services with Ipods. :-(

9. Weird - Rhapsody implies that they do.
They LIE! :grr:

Oh well, I have plenty of music on CD to listen to.

10. Download it, make audio CD, rip it to mp3
I've done that with everything I've bought/downloaded. IIRC it's also the only way to get around the copy restrictions, too.

11. How do you get your album art?
Just Google the album name in images. I don't know how it works on Windows, but on a mac, you just drag it to the desktop, and drag it into iTunes. Like this...

Or the ones you should be listening to every ten songs, or you should change your username in shame!

The image sized doesn't matter,, iTunes with resize it to fit in it's little box, and full screen on iPod.
Here's another site with a few covers.
http://tralfaz-archives.com/coverart/coverart.html

They all should load onto your iPod, if they don't then it's an iPod Nada! Be a size queen and get a bigger version.;)

12. Cool! Thanks!
In the last 5 songs there's been a Neil Finn song and a Tim finn song, BTW. :D

(I'm a size KING, by the way).
