Did you see the Simpsons when Homer gets eye surgery? |
|
And he doesn't use his drops and his eyes get all crusted over? And the cartoonists drew in his eyes like white sharp/fuzzy little scabby plate-like things and it has been grossing me out EVER SINCE.

1. Why did you have to remind me about that? |
|
That was pretty nasty, haha.

2. I am not kidding...I've been very mildly scarred by it. |

Those crusty white scabs! And they were thick too! Disgusting. I want to peel them off of Homer's cartoon eyes. But I can't. Because it's a cartoon.

5. My roommate can't watch that scene |
|
She has to leave the room or change the channel, it grosses her out too much

6. haven't seen it. Is it worse than the "panda rape scene"? |
|
Because that one squicks me out.

8. Yes, it is worse than that. Because you are forced to see it |
|
repeatedly throughout the episode.
And I swear it is just like fingernails on a chalkboard.

That's because:
1. The eyes crust over gradually, while making a strange noise 2. The crust forms in a spiral shape and has a serrated edge 3. The crust looks to have a depth of at least an inch, in cartoon measurement 4. It is actually a very un-Simpsony moment, due to the pure grossness of it all
It's just...horrible.

9. It reminds me of when Bart and Homer were stealing Willy's grease |
|
I haven't seen the episode in a while, but Bart and Homer were making money recycling grease, and they went to steal Groundskeeper Willy's stash of grease. I think they were using a wet/dry vac to steal it, but somehow the vacuum hose gets stuck to Homer's eye socket, and afterwards, throughout the episode, Homer's eye keeps popping out. It gave me the willies (no pun intended) as much as the eye surgery episode.

10. There's another moment that creeps me out. |
|
I'm not sure why, but on the Mary Poppins-inspired episode, Marge starts to shiver and her hair falls out in clumps.
Maybe it's the way that it was illustrated that creeped me out.

12. Also gross. But somehow more innocent than crusty eyes. |

It also didn't help that it also made Homer look like a crazed zombie.
