4. How about rugby pants
Then you'd have the trifecta of 80's pants.

5. No on both counts. I do have a few frightening skeletons
in my fashion closet. I think the worst were Cavaricci's and Skids when I was in middle school.

6. No and no!
I was born in 76, so I was too young to look fashionable in the 80s. And I subsequently never started!

14. I think that counts double

And just a side note, I think my wife threw out my leather tie when we moved in together. She made some comment about updating my wardrobe past the '80's. I'm not sure why....

11. God, I hope so.
Leather pants, while kind of cheesy, look really good on certain men. Same with kilts and knee highs. :loveya:

I think Shah Rukh Khan has worn a leather pant or two in his day. Squeal.

19. No to the pants, no to the skinny tie.
In fact, I used to go to mosh pits and goth bars dressed in blue jeans, sneakers, and loud Hawaiian shirts. I enjoy sticking out like a sore thumb.

36. Yes to both
The tie wasn't my idea (I don't do ties, anyway) and, yes, it WAS the late '80s.

The leatehr pants are armored motorcycle pants.

But I'd wear a pair of leather jeans, at least fairly form-fitting ones...it seems to be not uncommon in the UK but rather unusual here in the US, unless you're a rocker or a poseur. But I'd gladly revert to my lifelong tendency to I-don't-give-a-f***-what-you-think-of-my-sartorial-sense if I found the right pair of leather pants.

I love the pirate shirts, too, like in International Male, or any similar shirt that laces at the chest...and, again, I don't care if anyone else thinks it looks silly (and I love concho belts so, overall, I think my ideal casual wear is pretty much what Jim Morrison was sporting in 1968). After all, I spend half my time these days wearing studded jumpsuits...

...and if I do say so myself, I looked pretty hot in my pirate shirt and leather pants, or as you say , a Neo "Jim Morrison" look!...:-)

If there's ever a big, national DU shindig that we meet up at, we'll both have to don our Jimbo threads and break on through to the...um...wherever they keep the desserts... :D
