3. Good Game Seahawks Fans
You'll be back next year most likely. Solid defense. Really amazing D actually.

Best of the NFC without question. I was nervous till the final play. I totally didn't think the game was over till they turned it over on downs.

9. they were tough....
I had to get up and walk around the house......I was pacing...loading the dishwasher and doing some laundry during the off periods because I was so restless...

11. Ha! Me too. My husband and kids couldn't understand my pacing
I think I only sat for approx. 15 minutes total...probably when the Stones were playing. I'm a nervous nelly when it comes to football.

8. Thanks...
in spite of the weird calls I am happy but I can't say they played the game like I would have wanted...it was way too close and some of the ref's calls were a bit hard to swallow...

It was a hard one victory...

Here's to Willie Parker...the man is lightening...

Here's to Hines Ward...catches even some really bad throws...

10. I'll resist my desire to sound like a sore loser
and agree that the Steelers deserve a round of applause. Bottom line, if a few calls go against you, you have to overcome it. We had too many dropped balls, and too few points to win a super bowl. That Ike Taylor INT was a dagger as were the two missed FGs, even if they were both 50 yarders.

12. Let's take a look at the comments from the classy Steeler fans...
...who have shown up on the Seattle P-I's Seahawks forum after the game ended (repeat -- after the game ended -- this was not trash-talking during the game, but after the Steeler fans could celebrate a win):

---

Maybe y'all should market the '13th' man....cause apparently with the '12th Man' moniker you stole, I doubt even with twelve you could win ONE MEASLY trophy..Suck it, flannel fags.

---

Grow a pair and admit you are on your way back to obscurity.

---

Guess that was the seachickens 15 mins of fame....LOL what a bunch of losers!!

---

No Super Bowl Championship for you cocky son's of biotches! I hope that Steel fist tasted good. LOL

---

So how many playoff games have you seen your Seahags win? 2...LMAO at that!
So how many Super Bowls have you seen your Seahags win? 0...LMAO at that!
Enjoy the well deserved salt in your Seahags wounds!

---

SHEGULLS COME UP SHORT AGAIN!!
At least they live up to their reputation!!!!! CHOKERS!!!

---

USA Beats Seattle!!!
Seattle is so liberal and left-wing. Its not even part of America anymore.

---

Maybe if you werent a bunch of commie lefties the refs would have been a little more fairer to the SHEGULLS. Oh well..live and learn..

---

Just the sort of class I'd expect from the home town of Richard Mellon Scaife. :puke:

13. I would say the vast majority of Steeler fans in the Lounge aren't jerks..
Anybody with a brain knew it would be a tough, close game and I, personally, found the Seahawks to be a very tough team.

I wouldn't be surprised to see the Seahawks in the Superbowl with a win for themselves next year.

14. No chance for a Seahawk SB repeat, I fear...
They're almost certain to lose Alexander to free agency, and they'll have the toughest schedule in the NFC. They'll probably make the playoffs, but any more than that is, IMHO, too much to hope for.

15. Who's the dumbass who doesn't realize Pittsburgh is blue too?
What an idiot. Fortunately the Steelers fans on DU are a classy lot. Then again, being liberal has a lot to do with being classy, IMO.

18. I guess I must be the dumbass you're referring to...
...so I ask you: how can any place claim to be "blue" when their senators are Specter and Santorum? Sure, PA went narrowly blue in the presidential elections, but that's due to Philly more than anything. Anyway, I'll leave you with yet another comment from a classy Steelers fan;

You could have saved a lot of money if you would have listened to me. Never put money on a team on any sport that is soft, like the ladyhawks. Their girls trying to be men, after all they are from Homo land Seattle.

16. Every Major Board, for Every Major Team
If you judge a city, or a fandom, based on the drunken posts of assholes to newspaper or major team boards after a game, then you aren't going to like anyone from anywhere.

Many of those people don't even sound like they're from Pittsburgh from the things they say.
